How classes and levels work

The five Academy prices, how four level perks unlock, the 2,500 Core passive roll, and the classes that have badges but no published price.

The Academy sits in a circle on the lobby floor. Step in to swap to a class you own or to buy one with Cores. The priced table has 26 classes in five tiers. Every class in a tier costs the same.

Tier Cost each Classes Whole tier
1 100 Miner, Recruit 200
2 3,000 Scout, Healer, Mechanic, Racer, Witch 15,000
3 5,000 Driller, Tank, Gunslinger, Bruiser 20,000
4 10,000 Demolitionist, Princess, Crafter, Reaper, Lucky Looter, Nightcrawler, Salvager 70,000
5 30,000 Goblin King, Gunsmith, Bounty Hunter, Pirate, Prospector, Samurai, Executioner, Priest 240,000

The full set is 345,200 Cores. Miner can be free on the first join, which is one of two free choices. The second free name is not stated in that note.

Levels

You start the run with that class's gear and its level 1 perk. Three more perks unlock when you meet that class's requirements, so the September 2026 tables describe four levels. Requirements differ by class and are not one shared depth. A 10 October 2026 note on Prospector adds a level 4 of +100% Mineshaft spawn chance, requiring 10,000,000 m total depth, and a level 5 that starts you with a Gem Refinery and gives gem veins a 5% chance to drop 10 gems. Other classes are not confirmed to have a fifth level.

Once you own two or more classes, 2,500 Cores rolls a random passive from another class you own onto the one you are playing.

A September 2026 class-shop walkthrough says the shop restocks every 12 hours and that tier 4 and tier 5 classes appear less often. That restock rule is not in the Academy price table. If a class you can afford is missing, check again later before assuming it was removed.

Classes with badges and no price

The 19 October 2026 badge listing includes unlock badges that are not in the 26-class price table:

Badge Awards on that listing What is known
Mercenary 56,521 Used for a full 0 to 100 km run in an 8 October 2026 playthrough. Price unpublished.
Vampire 41,218 This is the class badge. A separate Vampire badge has millions of awards and tracks the enemy.
Jack-o'-Lantern 1,361 Listing touched about three days before 19 October 2026. Price and perks unpublished.
Engineer 598 Described as added on 1 October 2026. Price and perks unpublished.

Shopkeeper has a badge with 3,112,121 awards. That volume fits an easy activity, not a 30,000 Core class. It is not listed here as an Academy class.

How to choose

Match the buy to the problem you are failing.

  • Walls too slow: Driller, then RPM Overclock and Drill Power.
  • Not enough coins for cards: Lucky Looter, Salvager, Pirate, or Prospector.
  • Dying to bosses: Executioner, or Priest if the party needs healing.
  • Guns or melee already feel good: Gunslinger or Bruiser at 5,000, Gunsmith or Samurai at 30,000.
  • Explosives, including Stone enemies: Demolitionist.

The letter ranks on the tier list are one 25 September 2026 board. They are not an official order, and they rate Driller lower than the 100 km guides do.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Drill to Earth's Core?

It is a free Roblox co-op descent by the Game Name. group. A party rides one drill through named layers, fights enemies, loots structures, and spends coins on upgrade cards. A normal run ends at the Glowing Core boss wall at 100 km.

Is Drill to Earth's Core the same game as Dig to Earth's CORE!?

No. Dig to Earth's CORE! is a different Roblox game by Slime Mine Studios. Codes such as UPDATEHYPE, INDIGO, and DIGGEM5000 belong to that game and do not redeem here.

What should a new player buy first?

Miner is described as one of two classes a new player can take for free on the first join. Both Tier 1 classes are listed at 100 Cores if you buy them later. After that, Witch is the highest-ranked 3,000 Core class on the 25 September 2026 board, and Lucky Looter at 10,000 Cores is the usual loot follow-up.

How many players share a server?

A public listing read on 19 October 2026 caps the server at 20 players. Party setup notes say a party holds 1 to 8. Older pages that say 30 players disagree with that listing.
