How to read the letters
S through D compare the 26 classes that have published prices. Price tier is separate: a Tier 5 class costs 30,000 Cores even when its letter is A. The board predates the 3 October 2026 Frozen Layer. Engineer, Jack-o'-Lantern, Mercenary, and Vampire are excluded because their prices and perks are not in the same table.
Where a 100 km plan disagrees
August 2026 deep-run notes pick Lucky Looter, Driller, Pirate, and Reaper. On this board those letters are A, C, A, and B. Buy Driller when the failure is the boss wall. Buy Lucky Looter when the failure is running out of coins.
S tier
Player decision Take it when the party already kills goblins and you want that farm to pay. It is 30,000 Cores.
Player decision Best published money class when the run is about gems rather than boss damage.
Player decision Pick Samurai if you already like melee and can afford Tier 5. Bruiser is the 5,000 Core version of the same idea.
Player decision The boss specialist. Use it for Arena, Spider Dungeon, and the 100 km wall when damage, not coins, is the problem.
Player decision Bring one Priest when the party is dying to Toxic, Fire, or the Wolf Bat. Healer is the cheap version and ranks much lower.
A tier
Player decision The crafting gun class. Gunslinger is the cheaper raw damage pick at 5,000 Cores.
Player decision Worth it when the party hunts Bandit and Crazy Miner bounties. Skip it on a straight wall push.
Player decision A strong gold class for deep runs, alongside Lucky Looter if you cannot afford Tier 5 yet.
Player decision The best published buy at 10,000 Cores when you are poor on cards. Driller is the alternative if walls, not loot, are failing.
Player decision The scrap-and-bar partner to Lucky Looter at the same 10,000 Core price. Pick one, not both, on a first savings goal.
B tier
Player decision Buy it when Crystal Stone enemies are the wall, or when the party already uses blast cards. The letter board is cooler on it than players who main explosives.
Player decision A party economy class. The 1,000 coins matter early and stop mattering once Money Drill and deep sell prices take over.
Player decision Useful after the 2 August shack rework if the party crafts often. It is not a wall-damage class.
Player decision Take Reaper when you are dying between rest stops and cannot yet afford Priest.
Player decision A stealth and night-time melee class. Skip it if your runs are spent on the drill rather than off-path.
C tier
Player decision Buy Driller for the wall even though this board says C. The discount is the reason.
Player decision A survival pick at 5,000 Cores if you are learning boss walls. Priest outscales it later.
Player decision The straightforward gun class at 5,000 Cores. Move to Gunsmith if you want crafting.
Player decision Buy it if you melee and cannot afford Samurai. Pair with Sharpness cards.
Player decision The first paid upgrade after Miner if 5,000 Cores is still far away and you actually use potions.
D tier
Player decision Only if you are lost in dungeons. It does not help the wall.
Player decision A budget support buy. The board ranks it D because Priest and Reaper cover the same job with stronger kits.
Player decision Consider it only if Clay and Fuel Leeches keep stopping you and you do not want to carry coal.
Player decision A driver comfort class. It does not add wall damage. Skip it for a first clear.
Player decision Take the free Miner, then save for Witch, Driller, or Lucky Looter. Do not stay on Miner for the 100 km wall.
Player decision The other 100 Core starter. Miner is the better free pick if you are gathering ores. Recruit is the better pick if you are only fighting.
